Long time rival companies Intel and AMD will be partnering up to work on a new laptop chip. The chip in question will have an Intel processor along with an AMD graphics unit, bringing them directly in competition with NVIDIA. The new chips are aimed to make slim and portable laptops powerful enough to make them a viable option for graphics intensive games. Simply put, it will help to bridge the gap between high-end gaming laptops and the more affordable but less powerful mainstream ones.
