The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Release Date Leaked?

Nintendo had recently confirmed that its upcoming addition to the Zelda franchise, Breath of the Wild has been delayed and will no longer be a launch title for the Nintendo Switch. Though no more details were given regarding the release date, it might have been (inadvertently) leaked when the game is coming out. Target’s website with a listing for the title now shows a release date for Breath of the Wild.  Considering that when retailers generally use the beginning or the end of a month as placeholders while listing products on the website, this might be pretty close to the actual release date. Coincidentally, June 13th is also the opening day for the E3 2017 conference. Looks like Nintendo’s planning a big surprise for all of us. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will ha...

Meet MiniDOOM, A Cutesy Sidescroller Tribute To DOOM

DOOM is well known for being one of the premier and the most influential FPS games ever, and this year saw the game make a tremendous comeback. But ever wonder how it would look as a 2D shooter? To satisfy your curiosity, here comes MiniDOOM. MiniDOOM is a fan made project based on the first DOOM, and although a short parody game, it still looks and feels really cool. I mean, given the plot where you’re a angry space marine tasked with shooting (or blasting or vapourizing or beheading) demons and monsters, it might not seem like a paradigm shift. BUT, this game doesn’t need to try too hard to make sure the original remains as “metal” as it has always been, and that’s quite a feat. I mean, considering the sprites look kinda cute. Have you seen that Cacodemon? C...

Uncharted 4 To Get A New Survival Mode

Naughty Dog is releasing a wave-based horde mode for its critically acclaimed title Uncharted 4,adding on to the game’s multiplayer component. Known as Uncharted 4 Survival, the mode pits your against human enemies (NOT zombies, thankfully), including the standard Shoreline mercenaries and more difficult foes like snipers, hunters and brutes. The Survival mode will offer about 50 waves of increasingly tougher enemies, and will span about 10 maps. According to a report by IGN, the mode is split into 10 sets of 5 waves and will have a progress save feature so you don’t have to start from scratch every time. You can also set the difficulty at the beginnning. Once you defeat the game on Hard, it unlocks the Crushing difficulty. Every 10 waves, you’ll encounter a boss battle w...

Fallout 4 Will Definitely Get A Taste Of VR

At the E3 conference, Bethesda had announced that they were going to bring Fallout 4 to the realm of virtual reality, and it seems like the ambitious project is already underway. In an interview with Glixel, when asked whether they were trying to put all of Fallout 4 in VR, Todd Howard said, “We definitely are. That’s the promise of VR, being in a big virtual world. The core experience, meaning you put on the headset and you’re standing in the world of Fallout and can go where you want, just that little bit is every bit as cool as you hope it would be. Once we did that, we were like, “OK, we gotta see where this goes.” ” He goes on to say how the potential market in VR is not much of a concern for them, “We’re not so worried about how many we...

Dishonored 2 To Get A Free Update, Adds New Mode

Bethesda has announced that Dishonored 2 will get a free update soon, adding a “New Game+” mode, and customizable difficulties. The announcement was made as part of a five minute video, in which different Arkane Studios members talk about the “Play your way” approach to the game. Lead Designer Dinga Bakaba points out that it’s possible for players to pass up the Outsider’s abilities completely, an option that wasn’t there in the first game. This decision to provide a horde of abilities and then giving an option to not have them, he said, came about “because we are confident that our core gameplay is interesting enough, and we are confident that the player who makes that choice wants that kind of experience. He wants to be a human being among ...

Make Hitman Great Again: Hitman (2016) Season 1 Review

When Square Enix first announced that the next game in the Hitman series was going to be episodic, it was received with quite the skepticism. Fans, including us, were worried if this was going to be yet another attempt at milking the consumer by yet another big publisher. And rightly so, since the previous entry in the series, Hitman: Absolution, got tepid response, and was widely regarded as a dumbing down from the previous entries in the series. Turns out, we could not have been more wrong. The episodic format has been a very effective means for the way the new Hitman game  is crafted. It furthermore gave players a reason to keep coming back, not only for future episodes, but also for a regular outflow of free DLC challenges, and made the game a subject of conversations throughout the yea...

Respawn Not Sure About Titanfall 3

Respawn seems to have a lot of ideas for a third Titanfall game, but it’s possible that the studio might not get to make them. In an interview, Glixel asked Respawn CEO Vince Zampella whether Titanfall 3 is a possibility. He said that even though the game has received overwhelmingly positive critical response, it’s too soon to say how the game has done from a sales perspective. “We don’t know yet,” Zampella said about making a third Titanfall game. “The game is, critically, a huge success. We’re really happy with all the reviews and the positive sentiment. Sales, it’s too early to tell. We’d definitely like to tell more of the story and the universe. I think it’s pretty safe to assume that we’ll explore more of it.” EA...
