The rivalry for the best military FPS continues. Both the Call of Duty and Battlefield series are neck and neck in the race to be the best. This rivalry proves beneficial for a gamer as it brings out the best of the two and leaves a gamer with two really kick-ass games. Executive vice president for EA Games, Patrick Sodurlund, added fuel to the flames of the Battlefield-Call of Duty rivalry when he said that EA won’t rest till its shooter is in the number one spot. “Competition is good,” Sodurlund told MCV. “It brings the best out of people. Battlefield 4 Open Beta to come out in October

EA has announced that Battlefield 4 open Beta is set to come out on the 1st of October. In a blog post, the publisher revealed that the beta for the upcoming shooter will be available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC four weeks before it officially launches . EA had earlier mentioned that a weapons customization option would be present for this game earlier this month. Battlefield 4 officially launches on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on October 29 in North America, October 31 in Australia and November 1 in Europe. The Xbox One version will be available on November 19 in North America and November 21 in Europe, with the PlayStation 4 version launching November 12 in North America and November 29 in Europe. Call of Duty vs. Battlefield is good for Gamers

The ongoing struggle between Call of Duty and Battlefield for the top spot in the first-person shooter sector is a positive for the industry, EA Labels president Frank Gibeau told CVG in a new interview from Gamescom. Gibeau was asked if Battlefield 4 can outsell Call of Duty: Ghosts, to which he said his company’s game will attempt to “lap” Activision’s thanks to new services and innovation. Battlefield 4 to have vehicle testing range

Battlefield 4 will be introducing this new feature which will allow players to try out vehicles like helicopters before getting into the game proper. “We’ve definitely heard that people are afraid of getting in there [and using vehicles like helicopters] and that’s not our intent,” DICE creative director Lars Gustavsson told IGN. “So what we’ve done is, we’ve added a test range, which allows you to try out all the hardware ahead of time so that if you want to learn to fly a helicopter you can get in there and you can find the settings that work best for you.” “And then start doing some stunt flights just to feel safe before you go out and get the responsibility of a bunch of other people sitting in your helicopter,” he added. “So ...
