A bunch of German researchers have used artificial intelligence to create a “self-aware” version of Super Mario who not only responds to vocal commands but also plays his own game. The project is called Mario Lives and was created by a team of researchers from Germany’s University of Tübingen as a part of the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence’s annual video competition.
