State Of Decay 2 Gets A Spring 2018 Release Date

Today, during the Xbox E3 2017 briefing, we showed State of Decay 2 gameplay for the first time ever in public. It’s a big moment for the team at Undead Labs who have been working tirelessly for the past three years to deliver what we think will be our best game yet.

When we first set out to create State of Decay 2, we knew we wanted a true sequel that took everything fans loved from the first State of Decay and create a more dangerous, unpredictable world that allows players to engage with one another in co-op multiplayer to survive.

That means more unique survivors, each with their own traits and motivation, more options to manage your community and develop your base, more new maps to create a truly diverse and expansive zombie-filled world and of course, more scenarios for you to make crucial decisions that have lasting consequences — including the ever-present threat of a character dying forever.

Adding co-op was the most requested feature by State of Decay fans and we’re incredibly excited to bring this to State of Decay 2. In co-op, players teaming together will manage their own communities and work together to survive the zombie apocalypse.

Best of all, as an Xbox Play Anywhere title with cross-play and cross-save support on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC, we’re bringing together two gaming communities and giving you more choices in how and where you want to play.

Finally, State of Decay 2 will be launching in Spring 2018. State of Decay 2 is truly a labor of love and we’re incredibly excited to share more in the months ahead. Pack your survival kit; it’ll take all you have to survive!
