The Indian games market has vast potential, both in terms of the domestic consumer market and development talent, and publisher Reliance Games believe they may have the key to unlock it. We were at the launch of this one of a kind initiative in Bangalore on Friday 19th December. The event was attended by a line-up of leading industry figures including Reliance Games CEO Manish Agarwal. GameHack initiative is a pioneering pan-India game development and pitch competition affording Indie developers and students a chance to win global publicity, funds and publishing contracts.
As Manish himself says, “India has great potential in the mobile gaming space as an emerging destination for building games that can become global hits. Game Hack offers a great platform to get practical advice, be inspired by the hottest indie developers, meet publishers and international media, and best of all provides a glimpse into the future talent that will be wowing us in years to come.”

And Reliance are not alone in supporting this initiative, with AS Rajgopal, CEO, NxtGen Datacenter & Cloud Technologies also present at the launch giving his full support. “Gaming is a very exciting space and is revolutionizing personal entertainment. With the proliferation of smart phones, we are seeing an accelerated interest from all age groups. We are delighted to be associated with the Game Hack initiative and encourage the entrepreneurial spirit of those who are building the next big game from India. We will enable the game development & hosting with our cloud services. We are also rolling out exciting incentives on our Cliques – Personal Cloud Service platform, for indie developers and students who are associated with Game Hack”.
