Quantum Break To Require Internet Connection To Stream All Cutscenes On PC

More bad news strikes the PC version of Quantam Break as it seems the game will require consistent and reasonably fast internet connection to steam cutscenes. This is because the game’s live action cutscenes are not included in the game’s assets and instead it will be streamed from the cloud. The reasons as to why the cutscenes will be streamed is that, there are simply too many cutscenes, shot at a 4K resolution, to be downloaded and stored in any sort of possible way.

Explained by the game’s narrative designer Greg Louden: “We have 40 different variations of the show in total where basically your choices get to make it evolve and change. Then combined with that, the show length can change based on your decisions because some episodes are longer as a result and some episodes are shorter”

The game has 40 different variations of the live action cutscenes, which are all shot in 4K resolution. Since the resolution is pretty high the game requires a pretty decent internet connection to deliver quality cutscenes.

Even on the xbox one some cutscenes will be included on the disc, with the majority of cutscenes being streamed at 1080p.

Previously it was reported that the game will be only available on Win 10 store due to the use of  Direct x 12.

This is sad news for PC Gamers, and even more so for PC gamers in India which does not a have good quality internet.
