Project Cars 2 Trailer Confirms 2017 Release, Supports 12K Resolution

Bandai Namco has put out the announcement trailer for Project Cars 2, confirming that the game shall indeed release in 2017, as the studio had teased recently in January.

Project Cars 2 will feature more than 170 cars and 60 tracks, and a horde of new features, including an Online Championship mode, and races on varied terrains like ice, dirt, mud and snow. “Our collective goal at Slightly Mad Studios is to create a simulation racing experience that rivals that of real-life,” Game Director Stephen Viljoen said. “Realism and authenticity are central to our development mantra for Project CARS 2, hence we’re making sure we employ the best professional drivers, game developers, artists, and sound engineers to realize our vision for a game that takes players on the ultimate driver journey.”

In addition to the new game modes and terrains, developer Slightly Mad Studios also claims that the game will have realistic AI and car physics, and dynamic weather effects and seasons. Plus, it will also support “12K resolution” by means of three 4K monitors hooked up, offering a panoramic view for the driver. The trailer also offers some of the sexy looking cars in action. The studio hasn’t offered any more details about the game’s release apart from the fact that  it will release sometime late 2017.
