Millions of people have now jumped off a plane, landed on an island and indulged in bloody murder. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has sold over 5 million copies, and has now crossed Grand Theft Auto’s peak concurrent player numbers, and reached the 4th place on Steam’s charts.

The support for the game has been immense, specially given that it’s still in Early Access with just one map. Here’s PlayerUnknown himself expressing his delight and gratitude to the game’s players:

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has been a beast of a game, even after being so barebones. The game’s simplicity is what makes it so appealing, and it’s easy to jump in kill or be killed and come back to fight another round.
