We already know that the next Battlefield game is in the works, and if rumors are true, then it will be a sequel to the highly popular Battlefield: Bad Company games. This comes in from Youtuber AlmightyDaq, who had previously leaked accurate information about Battlefield 1. Here’s a gist of what he says in his video:
The game will be set around the Vietnam conflict, but it will be fictionalized for dramatic effect, and not be historically accurate. All the popular game modes like Conquest, Team Deathmatch, Domination, etc will make a comeback. there will also be a new 5v5 modes that might be designed for competitive play, especially e-sports.
A lot of the map design is also said to be focused on tighter gameplay instead of the all out warfare that the series is known for. This might be a change inspired by the success of Call Of Duty and Rainbow Six: Siege. Vehicles wills still play an important part in the gameplay.
Microtransactions will definitely not be there (at least that’s what it says now), and this decision comes after the backlash at Battlefront 2.
Bad Company 3 definitely sounds exciting, and I really hope that EA and Dice can deliver a great game in the next entry in the Battlefield series.
