Mumbai Comic Con 2025 is set to be the stage for Indie Game Utsav, India’s largest festival dedicated to independently developed PC and console games. The first-ever Indie Game Utsav will feature over 40 high-quality indie titles, offering attendees at Maruti Suzuki Arena presents Mumbai Comic Con powered by Crunchyroll a firsthand experience with the best games India has to offer. The event takes place from April 12 to 13, 2025, at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai.
Indie Game Utsav is backed by Xbox, Xsolla, Specter, and Nodwin Gaming, with IGDA India (International Game Developers Association) as its Community Partner. Given the booming popularity of PC gaming in India—with over 132 million players globally on Steam and PC gaming accounting for 22% of India’s gaming revenue—this event aims to introduce players to world-class made-in-India games while fostering a long-term culture of PC and console gaming in the country.
A Vision for Indie Success
Indie Game Utsav was founded by Avichal Singh, Co-Founder and Game Director of Nodding Heads Games, the studio behind Raji: An Ancient Epic, India’s first major PC and console success story.
“Indie Game Utsav aims to pave the way for upcoming high-quality indie games from India to achieve success, just like Raji did. Our goal is to address long-standing B2B and B2C challenges faced by indie developers,” says Avichal Singh, Director of Indie Game Utsav.

Opportunities for Indian Indie Developers
Indian indie game developers will have the chance to connect with global publishers attending the event, including Krafton, Garena, Epic Games, Neon Doctrine, Dangen Entertainment, Xbox, Xsolla, 1312 Interactive, and Untold Tales.
Additionally, digital meetings and networking opportunities will be available with Devolver Digital, Raw Fury, Plugin Digital, Women in Games, WhiteThorn Games, Bright Gambit, HeroCraft, Spielfabrique, and Toge Productions, with more partners to be announced.
Pre-Event Developer Activities
Leading up to Indie Game Utsav, several events will be hosted for Indian indie developers:
- Raw Fury X Indie Game Utsav (March 24-25, 2025) — Swedish indie publishing specialist Raw Fury will host AMA sessions, pitch deck reviews, game reviews, and discussions on the games industry.
- Epic Games for Indies (Date TBA) — Industry veterans from Epic Games will host an exclusive Discord event to help Indian developers with game development strategies, business growth, and marketing.
- Game Maker Mixer (April 11, 2025) — A casual networking event for indie developers and publishers to foster collaborations.
- MGN Indie Game Events (Throughout 2025) — Indie Game Utsav is teaming up with MGN Indie Game Events in China to give Indian developers exposure to Chinese publishers and audiences.
