Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is slated to launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC on October 7, 2014, a new trailer for the game has revealed.

Pre-order customers will get access to an exclusive Dark Ranger bonus pack, featuring a Dark Ranger character skin and a ‘Test of Power’ Challenge Mode, an exclusive mode that tasks players with defeating Sauron’s Captains to earn powerful Runes and gain a head start in the game. A press release by Warner Bros.’ indicates that pre-ordering the game may be the only way to access in-game leaderboard. Developed by F.E.A.R. creator Monolith Productions, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor puts players in the role of Talion, a slain ranger resurrected by a mysterious Spirit who must “discover the origin of the Rings of Power and confront the ultimate nemesis”.
It also features an innovative ‘Nemesis System’, an intriguing mechanic said to dynamically generate unique enemies and create an in-game hierarchy system based on the player’s actions.
