Mass Effect 4 Concept Art Shows New Planet and Species

“Exploration is really about feeling that you’re seeing something that’s unique that is very special to you. But there’s always this little sense of danger because you’re the first one there or you know there’s a reason why it feels like exploration.” The developers said during the live stream. “We’re not forcing the player into one type of experience. We’re not forcing the player into the Mako, we’re not forcing the player to evoke into a driving game. This is a game about choice and we want to just have the Mako as just one ingredient of that.”

Most of these images are of new locations because BioWare is creating new worlds to explore and they also will be bringing a new species and alien race. “We are definitely developing new species, new alien races and because of that these new species, these new aliens do have their own architecture.”

They also showcased an image of an explorer outside of the Mako to describe what they called the “hero” experience.

“We want to give the player as many tools as possible to get that, to basically fulfill themselves and go through the planets, explore, learn, research, things like that.” “This hero will scan things in the environment.” “One of the things we’re wanting to do with our main protagonist, with our hero in this game is have someone who is becoming a hero, have someone who is you know obviously very skilled and capable, but maybe hasn’t reached that legendary status that say Shepard was.”

“It is an epic adventure, but there’s a personal journey with it as well.”
