Rocksteady showcased the Latest Batman: Arkham Knight trailer teasing some in-game footage. The video below is called ‘Evening the Odds’ and is very similar to what we were shown a few months ago at the game’s press unveiling.
While a part of the trailer is still pre-rendered CGI but there’s also some real gameplay footage towards the end, including a shot of new supervillian Arkham Knight getting the better of Batman – which was also a part of the preview we saw back in March.
Back then though the game was suffering from an awful lot of slowdown, which may have precipitated the subsequent rumours of it being delayed. That rumour doesn’t seem to have panned out though and the game is still on schedule for release on October 14.
That makes it one of the very new games this year that is next gen only, with no Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 version planned.
Apart from the next gen visuals the main new addition for Arkham Knight is a driveable Batmobile, which you can see in the trailer performing one of Riddler’s driving challenges.
The game is being promoted as the last in the Arkham trilogy, although what that implies for future Batman games – or indeed for future games from developer Rocksteady – is not known.
