GTA V Redux Mod Gets Delayed As Developer Gets Hit By Hacked

The highly anticipated, fan made visual beautification mod for GTA V, called GTA V: Redux has been pushed back due to a mishap, according to the creator Josh Romito.

“Last week my home network and computer was hacked, and Redux compromised. Everything has been secured, although some data has been lost in the process,” he was posted on the mod’s official website. “This will not prevent the project from being released in any way, it is merely a small delay. I have multiple external backups of the project, and what was lost will be back up in no time. I appreciate everyone’s patience during this unfortunate time.”

GTA V: Redux mod was originally supposed to be released on 26 August. However, the new trailer reveals that the new  release date is set to be 16 September. Despite the unfortunate incident, the mod looks to be in good shape, based on the new video provided by Romito.

The texture quality of the in-game objects have been improved by a huge measure to give them a more realistic touch, along with a complete overhaul of graphics. The result is gorgeous, as you can see below.

Along with the graphics, Romito plans to improve the in-game actions of the NPCs as well, adding more real elements. According to a previous report, when you shoot a person in the game, their reaction and movement will be much more realistic compared to the original game.
