Cuphead, The 1930’s Style Platformer Delayed To Mid 2017

Cuphead, the upcoming indie platformer inspired by 1930’s animation style has been delayed to next year.

The game was initially scheduled for a release this year, but according to the studio MDHR, it is not feasible anymore. The official blog post reads : “We wanted to finish our game 80 years after 1936 but it will now be 81. Throughout this year we discussed reducing the scope to make a 2016 release, but we made the difficult decision to delay the launch in order to ship with our vision intact.”

Cuphead made its debut back in 2014, when the developers were looking forward to a later 2014 release for the PC. However, the game was showcased at E3 at year along with a delay to 2015. It was also announced that rather than just a retro run-and-shoot, the title will be a complete platformer.
