Durgod Taurus K310 Gaming Keyboard – Review

After having spent almost a month with the Durgod Taurus K310 I can confidently say that it is one of the most comfortable and high quality keyboards I have ever used. The Durgod Taurus K310 mechanical keyboard is a premium mechanical keyboard, but it goes for a more minimalist look with plain white and grey keys. Unlike it’s counterpart, the K310, it is not silent, and has a full numpad. In fact, it can get pretty loud, but it’s what some gamers go for. The Durgod Taurus K310 is a sleek and compact keyboard, but it does not feel cramped. In fact the ergonomics and quality of the keyboard are what I appreciate the most. It’s a heavy and solid keyboard and weighs just over a kilogram. that weight is actually pretty heavy for the keyboard, and highlights the premium quality of th...

Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden – Review

Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden is a turn-based tactic, action adventure roleplaying game. Set in an aesthetically sound post apocalyptic world; ‘Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden stand’ out in it’s genre due to the unique gameplay it offers. The game has turn based combat allowing for smart combat as one scours a dangerous ruined world with mutated buddies for company. The combat is difficult with smart enemies and usually heightened by the lack of supplies or being outnumbered. This pushes the player to look for smarter combat or sneak around dangers. The combat is satisfying due to its difficulty and carries the theme of post apocalyptic helplessness, adding to the mood of the story through the tension of  risky combat. Whilst combat is turn-based, exploration and basic sneaking...

Church In The Darkness – Review

Church In The Darkness, is an isometric stealth action game, inspired by the events surrounding the ‘Peoples Temple’ and the Jonestown Massacre. Set in ‘Freedom Town’ Socialist Commune in the Jungles of South America, you play as the protagonist Vick, who’s been asked to infiltrate this town in order to find ‘Alex’, your nephew. Alex has come to Freedom town -like many other followers- due to the preachings of Issac and Rebecca Walker. As the stories of the town unfolds through the various brochures and letters written by the congregation members you discover a different truth about Freedom Town, one away from Issac and Rebecca’s preachings. Most part of the game you would be hiding for getting around and to slowly narrow your search for Alex. Their may be some church members who might hel...

HyperCharge Unboxed – Review

HyperCharge Unboxed is a co-operative First Person Shooter where you play as toys that have come to life. Your goal in the game is to defend Hyper Cores from an onslaught by toys; solo or with three other friends. While the gameplay looks like a standard First Person Shooter, the ideas of player being as small as a toy and fighting toys makes the game a visual treat, the setting of battle being tops of tables or floor of the bedroom adds to this aesthetic feeling. The pre-setting of the battlefield by you and your friends with traps and blockades create room for strategy building and smart gameplay. Many of the traps need to bought using coins that are placed around the room. You are faced with various enemy toys ranging from the classic toy soldier to beyblades to small basketballs lookin...

Daymare: 1998 – Review

Daymare: 1998, is a third person horror survival game, set in the 90’s a fact visually expressed aesthetically throughout the environment. In Daymare: 1998, an incident or something has turned the your town into a dead zone, and all its citizens into mutated creatures. As you weave your way through this horrifying nightmare your town and it’s people have become to find the truth, your ability at stealth and all out combat is tested.  While the game sets itself in the 90’s it does so without really bringing in new experiences for the player to take from the game. It’s repetitive because of  other games that have come before it. The story is okay but mostly remains unimaginative. You control three protagonists in turns often scouring the parts of the city or installations looking for informa...

Decay Of Logos – Review

Decay Of Logos is a third person action RPG. The vast and beautiful word is exciting and sparks a wish for exploring it. But the game is riddled with problems. With the game crashing on multiple counts, to it slowing loading in front of you, to parts of the map not loading at all. This really is a killjoy to the experience of exploration that this world can actually offer through it’s visually aesthetic landscapes. The combat has failed to create a challenging and satisfying battles by making it repetitive; rendering it unengaging and mindless. While the story is still pretty decent enjoying it is difficult because of the repetitive bugs that keep showing up throughout the games. But with fixes this game still could have the potential to offer a lot to the player. Platform- PlayStation 4, ...

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare BETA Impressions

With the latest iteration of Call of Duty in 2019’s Modern Warfare, there’s an imminent promise of actually returning to the roots of what made the series actually resonate with gamers across the world back in 2007. It’s all grounded in a somewhat realistic modern day setting, and the movement, weapons and the locations reflect the same. After having played over 15 hours of the multiplayer, both across the Closed and the Open BETA, I can confidently say that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is indeed the Call of Duty that fans have been waiting for. Firstly, the gun-play feels so good. Just running around and shooting in the multiplayer feels just right. It immediately reminded me of the times I spent playing Call Of Duty 4’s multiplayer, only this felt like it had made...

The Sojourn – Review

The Sojourn is the new game by Shifting Tides studios and is releasing on 20th September 2019 for the PC, PS4 and the Xbox One. It’s a game that at first glance can feel very similar to something like Journey, but with some puzzle elements and a few darker themes. The Sojourn is about journeying through life, and hence the dark themes and the obstacles that come along the way. The art style is really distinct, and looks great. And the music is equally appealing. The game is a bit of a slow burn, hence not for everyone. The puzzles are really fun though, and there are a lot of them. Most of them are fairly easy, though some of them were head-scratchers. The narrative is a bit barebones and are mostly told by these statues in the world that depict important events. There’s more m...

Borderlands 3 – Review

Borderlands 3 is the 4th game in the Borderlands series, and is the proper sequel to Borderlands 2, coming seven years after that game. And in almost every way, Borderlands 3 improves upon the previous games, and once again sets itself at the peak of the looter shooter genre. Instead of Pandora, you now travel across three unique planets with their own biomes, weapons and quirky characters. The story is where Borderlands 3 kinda drops the ball, with a weak premise and antagonists, and some lackluster writing. However, the gameplay and the many quality of life improvements make for a much more enjoyable package overall. And, for the most part, the weak story never came in the way of my enjoyment in running around shooting enemies with friends, finding tons of new interesting guns to play wi...
