Bush Hockey League – Review

Bush Hockey League, formerly known as Old School Hockey is an Ice Hockey game developed and published by V7 Entertainment and is set in the 1970s that takes heavy inspiration from the movie “Slap Shot” and ice hockey games of the past.  Ice hockey in general has always interested me because of the very nature of the game. Ice Hockey games have interested me more-so. Not to mention the Mighty Ducks cartoon which really got me interested in the sport. After that it was NHL games that came into my life and cemented themselves as one of my favourite sports game ever. NHL Hitz being one of the more played ones. With all of this said, I was quite excited to get my hands on Bush Hockey League to maybe have an experience similar to the ones that I had with the arcade ice hockey games o...

The Surge – A Walk In The Park DLC Review

The Surge was a great game with a really good premise which was a lot of fun to play. The A Walk In The Park DLC is a new DLC that gives you a great reason to go back into the world of The Surge. While the A Walk In The Park DLC doesn’t add a lot or change a lot of things from the base game, it does provide a really good addition to the main game in the form of an Amusement Park that has come to life in the worst way possible. A Walk In The Park takes places in an Amusement Park that’s not far from where you originally begin the game. Originally made for Creo employees as a place to have fun in, it was aptly named Creo World, which as we all know is one of the staple names for big amusement parks. This once fun and colourful park is now filled with danger around every corner to...

Skyrim VR – Review

Skyrim is a game that like it’s predecessors is known for its fantastic open-world, quests and is remembered as an overall fantastic game. Originally, Skyrim was released for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC with visuals that when compared to Oblivion seemed so realistic. Players put in a lot of hours playing as the Dragonborn to bring an end to all of Skyrim’s voes by fighting Dragons and ending a Civil War that had caused so much bloodshed. Five years after the release of the original game, they announced that Skyrim would be releasing for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and PC with updated visuals and all the DLC and would be known as Skyrim Special Edition. People now got another excuse to play as the Dovahkiin. This move had a lot of mixed reception as people were really expecting a ...

Okami HD – Review

Okami HD is a remaster of Okami, a game that has already become a classic must play game because of it’s uniqueness in terms of art-style and gameplay. Okami combines several Japanese mythology and folklore and has you play as a Sun Goddess who is sent back to the world in form of a White Wolf because a warrior that doesn’t believe in legends decided to unleash an ancient demon that was sealed by you ages ago who goes and corrupts the land and it is your job to restore things back to normalcy. Panda marines that are out to shoot, kill and blowup everything on a planet they are invading to turn into a bamboo plantation. If that doesn’t interest you then I honestly don’t know what will. Mutant Football League – Review

The NFL and American Football in general has never interested me. Neither has the Madden series. The more arcade-y and faster NFL Blitz is something I’ve played and enjoyed and while games like that aren’t really made now, Mutant Football League is a game tha tries to scratch the itch left by those games. Try, being the key word here. A spiritual sequel to the original Mutant Football League that released in 1993 for the Sega Genesis, Mutant Football League is a kickstarted game developed by Digital Dreams Entertainment led by the designer of the original Mutant League Football game, Michael Mendheim. Mutant Football League is a throwback to games like NFL Blitz and it’s own predecessor with a modern touch added to it. It features many different species such as the Aliens...

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 – Review

With the astounding success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the emergence of more obscure and lesser known characters, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 is a game that really capitalizes on this. With the tried and tested LEGO video game formula, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 adds a plethora of new characters, locations and fantastic interaction between characters to continue the story of it’s own LEGO universe where humour and absurdity go hand in hand. A sequel to the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes game that released in 2013, this new game really builds on that while providing an extremely fun experience that doesn’t strive too far from the LEGO games formula while adding its own touch to it. The game takes place after the events of the previous game where the entire cast of heroes from...
