7 Most Underrated Games in the Last Decade

We play games, here at Gaming Central. We’re very big fans of playing games, in fact. So big that we’ve made it our bread and butter. So it pains our hearts when a title comes that we play and like very much, but escapes the masses and ends up being kind of obscure. Here’s a list of 7 of our favourite underrated games. Obsidian games (KOTOR 2 and New Vegas)   Obsidian games has a cult following, and always, always elicit extreme reactions from people: either immediate dismissal, or worshipful praise, and that’s for good reason, too. Most of their games are buggy (at launch) and almost always broken rehashes systemically, but offer some of the most reactive and well written characters and quests. This is mostly because of the fact that Obsidian used to be a thir...

Xbox 360 Disc-scratching Lawsuit Going Forward

A lawsuit brought over a disc-scratching defect attributed to the Xbox 360’s design will move forward following an appellate court’s rejection of Microsoft’s attempts to keep it from becoming a class action. In March, a three-judge panel for the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals had overruled a district court decision denying a class-action lawsuit against Microsoft (though not throwing out the case itself). Microsoft had asked the entire court to reconsider that ruling, and that motion has been denied. Unless Microsoft appeals that to the U.S. Supreme Court, the case is set to proceed in federal district court, where it may become a class action. The plaintiffs argue that even under normal playing conditions, the disc drive is so sensitive that it spins discs out of control...

Showcase: Destiny’s the Taken King Special Edition PS4

Sony showcased a new custom PS4 to go with Destiny’s The Taken King expansion, and it is one of the best looking skins for the console yet, as good looking (or even better, maybe) than the Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain bundle. The bundle contains the custom PS4, a glacier white Dualshock 4, a physical copy of Destiny: The Taken King Legendary Edition, which includes Destiny, Expansions I and II, and The Taken King, along with the custom emotes that the Legendary Edition comes with, which Activision is also selling for $20 as a standalone package.   A package this gorgeous for the expansion makes the original Destiny bundle look plain, doesn’t it?

An awful lot of the biggest games coming out this year are either RPGs or action adventures, which is fine unless you’re the kind of person I am and just cannot survive without killing mooks with things that go BAM! or BOOSH! for the rush of Adrenaline you get after fighting through hordes of enemies evenly matched to you. Fortunately for us, shooter season 2015 is right around the corner! Let’s have a look at the homocidal toys Santa has in store for good little murder happy boys and girls: Halo 5: Guardians (Xbox One) Halo 5 is the fifth game in the Master Chief saga and 7th or 8th (depending on whether you count ODST or not) title under the Halo series. Call of Duty: Black Ops III Zombies Announced

Zombies return to Call of Duty, as we announced earlier, but this time are packing a bit of a unique flair: It’s set in the 1940’s and stars Hollywood A-Listers Jeff Goldblum, Heather Graham, Neal McDonough, Ron Perlman, and Robert Picardo. And it’s Film Noire. What! The mode is called Shadows of Evil and is set in the jazz drenched Morg City, a wretched hive of scum and villainy. with typical noire-ish (playable) characters of the Femme Fatale, the Boxer, The Cop and The Magician. And it looks amazing. Here, see for yourself:   It also has a rocket powered shield, one-liners, power-ups delivered by candy and one The Darkness rip-off power-up. So that makes it the best Call of Duty Zombies DLC yet. (Sorry Kennedy and Co. from Blops 1)
