Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army 2 will release on Halloween

October 31st is a good time to release a game about killing zombies with a sniper rifle – why it’s almost as if Rebellion had planned it to release on that very day. Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army 2, their seasonally appropriate sequel to the seasonally inappropriate (it released on Valentine’s Day) original, boasts a new campaign and new bosses, and once again features co-op, shambling right-wing corpses, and Rebellion’s sickeningly gory X-Ray Killcam. Rebellion have managed to crank out a Nazi Zombie spin-off and now a Nazi Zombie spin-off sequel while we wait for Sniper Elite 3 to see the light of day (it’s expected in 2014). Like its predecessor, NZA2 is a sort of co-op horde thing with an emphasis (obviously) on sniper rifles. It’s already shuffled its way onto Steam and Rebellion’s o...

NVIDIA reveals Gamestream

NVIDIA announced Gamestream this morning, an initiative aimed at pairing the company’s GPUs with streaming gaming via its Shield handheld game console. Company head Jen-Hsun Huang says the service takes NVIDIA’s GeForce Experience software and pairs it with NVIDIA GPUs and the Shield to push streaming gaming to the living room. Huang said Gamestream’s first stop is a re-branding of the Shield’s streaming tech — sounds like that PC streaming tech on Shield is coming out of beta. But Huang’s not stopping there: he pulled NVIDIA’s Ujesh Desai on-stage, and he showed Shield powering PC game streaming on a nearby LG 4K television. “What makes Gamestream special is the low-latency of it,” Huang said. Desai used a Nyko wireless controller that...

Rockstar might be working on the next gen Red Dead Redemption

Now that GTA 5 has launched, could an announcement for Red dead redemption be on cards.  The  rumors have started with a listing on the LinkedIn profile of Rockstar New England employee Doron Feinstein, which mentions the “next version of a famous IP”, in development since at least September 2010. Could John or Jack Marston be getting ready to ride again? One small and decidedly vague sentence isn’t much to go on, granted, but when it’s combined with various other bits and bobs gleaned over the last year or more, it certainly begins to look like a Red Dead Redemption sequel isn’t a case of if, but of when. First off, Rockstar began hiring for a next generation console project way back at the start of 2012, long before the Xbox One had been revealed and way bef...
