Nothing being held back for Forza 5 says Turn 10

This time around Turn 10 is not holding back any content for Forza Motorsport 5 for DLC, says Turn 10 creative director Dan Greenawalt, in lieu of criticism they received from the recently announced Forza 5 Car Pass. “We’re not keeping anything back,” Greenawalt told OXM. “I think people misunderstand the way these things work.” “It takes us six months to build a car, so when I say there’s a 10-car pack launching day one – they’re not done. We’re not done with them yet.” “So we’re not holding anything back, we were crunching to make sure we had this level of quality on all 200 cars. Every one had to be Forza level of quality. This was as many as we could build – straight up. We’ve built this whole process.” “We started building these cars in waves, so the 200 ...

Bioshock Infinite: Burial at Sea episode to release tomorrow

For all of you who’ve played & enjoyed Bioshock Infinite here is some awesome news 🙂 the  first chunk of story DLC, set in that fragile underwater utopia/horrorshow, Rapture will be out tomorrow.  Episode One throws Booker and Elizibeth back to a time to a point before Rapture transitioned from endless parties to mutant massacre. Ken Levine mentioned on Twitter that there will be new weapons, plasmids and gear, including an “old man winter” plasmid. I’m more excited about wandering around a still-living Rapture, as captured in this splendid piece of concept art for Bioshock 1. Part one of the DLC will be Booker-centric, while you might get to  as Elizabeth in part two. Till then you can check out the awesome trailer.

Call of Duty: Ghosts hits $1 billion on launch day

Activision revealed two  days ago that  Call of Duty: Ghosts generated $1 billion in worldwide revenue on launch day. Activision made clear in its announcement that it “sold more than $1 billion of Call of Duty: Ghosts into retail stores worldwide as of day one,”  which technically means that this figure is based on the units sold to retailers and not on the number of units that ended up going to a consumer. In comparison to previous installments of the game, Call of Duty: Black Ops II took 15 days to reach $1 billion in sales, however this figure included units sold to consumers and not only to retailers. After referring to data from Microsoft, Activision also revealed that Call of Duty: Ghosts has moved to the top spot on Xbox Live as the most-played game this week. Activisio...

Steam Machine Prototype to be paired with Metro: Last Light

Game publisher Deep Silver has announced that the Steam Machine prototypes which are scheduled to be sent out later this year are  bundled with a copy of the first-person shooter game, Metro: Last Light. In September, Valve asked Steam users interested in beta testing its new hardware to register through Steam by completing various steps, such as playing a game in Big Picture mode and joining a certain group. So out of all those who completed those necessary steps, 300 were chosen to receive the prototype hardware, which consists of both PC hardware designed for use with a television in a living room-type setting and the Steam Controller. One of the primary goals with the controller is to make something suitable for all types of PC games; hence by including a copy of Last Light, beta tester...

Assassin’s Creed series might never take place in present day

Following the release of their tribute to the pirate life, a handful of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag developers took to Reddit and addressed a few burning questions from fans. They avoided addressing where Ubisoft would take the series post-Black Flag, but that didn’t stop them from sharing where they thought the series wasn’t going. Lead Writer Darby McDevitt had a hard time believing Ubisoft would set an entire AC game in the present. “I doubt we would do a modern day AC,” he writes. “There are just too many mechanics we would have to develop to make it believable… vehicles, plausible modern cities, a huge array of ranged weapons, etc. The modern day will most likely remain as a ‘context’ for all future games, something to tie them all together.” McDevitt also ...

COD: Ghosts Cutscene Copied From Modern Warfare 2?

A cutscene from Call of Duty: Ghosts  has been discovered which is pretty much a shot-for-shot remake of the ending of Modern Warfare 2. Many were quick to assume that Infinity Ward was slothful while making the game but there is a high possibility that the scene was intended as an homage to the earlier game considering that MW2’s Simon ‘Ghost’ Riley provided a lot of inspiration for the team when creating Ghosts. Do watch this video, but beware of minor spoilers. Source: IGN
