What would you want or like to see in the next Assassin’s Creed game? That is precisely what Ubisoft is asking of its fans as part of a new survey leaked to IGN. Ubisoft asked fans what they would most enjoy from the options listed below: -Playing as a new Assassin, in a different historical time period -More famous historical characters to meet/befriend/fight -More assassination missions -More stealth gameplay sequences -The possibility to influence the look and feel of the city through progression in the game -Ability to extend the game experience on mobile or tablet -The possibility to seamlessly enter and explore more buildings and houses  ...

Xbox One not backwards compatible

Word has gone around that the Xbox One is not backwards compatible and if you try to adjust the system settings to add the functionality, there is a good chance you could brick your console, says Microsoft’s Larry “Major Nelson”. “To be clear, there is no way to make your Xbox One backwards compatible,” he mentioned on Twitter. “Performing steps to attempt this could make your console inoperable.” There is a guide looming around these days that claims backwards compatibility on Xbox One can be unlocked with just a few button presses. The steps outlined in this guide are the same instructions for turning an Xbox One into a dev kit, which Microsoft also advised against earlier this week. Though at the moment backwards compatibility is not officially ...

Sony reveal PS4 owners have captured 6.5 million “Shares”

The PlayStation 4’s new “Share” button is not as useless as many imagined. Sony revealed yesterday that users have captured more than 6.5 million “Shares” since launch on November 15. “That’s pretty amazing,” said Sony (and so are we) The ‘Share’ button on the DualShock 4 has the sole purpose of allowing users to capture and share screenshots and recorded gameplay videos through Facebook and Twitter, or live streams via Ustream and Twitch. Rivals Microsoft too featured similar functionality in their console. The Xbox One does it through its Upload Studio, which allows gamers to capture, edit, and share screenshots and video clips. Microsoft still haven’t mentioned how many Xbox One owners have used this option yet…..ma...

Battlefield issues persist, affect EA stocks

EA’s stocks have fallen more than a shocking 5% since the issues with Battlefield 4 started on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. There were issues with bugs, servers, game ejections, and downloadable content, which forced developer DICE to diverted their attention and effort away from “future projects” and devote resources to repairing the problematic shooter. “Shares are currently selling for $21.21, versus yesterday’s closing price of $22.34.” DICE has managed to patch up the PS4 version of Battlefield 4, and have hopefully cleared it of its one-hit kill bug, crashing “when having a very large amount of Friends,” and mysteriously enabling audio when recording game footage. Issues that still remain to be fixed on the Xbox One and the PS4 are crash...

The most unorthodox GTA V stunt move ever

This gamer has nailed it. That’s one unorthodox GTA V stunt move, but it works! XR33P3E11X has more of these in his excellent montage video. Now do a perfect drop from similar heights into a half pipe while riding a bike. That would look neat. Source: Gergo Vas

Steam brings Gage(DLC) for Payday 2

Yesterday, i.e the 5th of December the Gage Weapon Pack came out for Payday 2, a piece of premium DLC for the PC version on Steam. There was an increase in the game’s inventory of weapons, mods and masks. The Gage Weapon Pack brings in a brand new variety of guns, mods, masks and also increases player inventory size by quite a considerable amount. In fact, those who picked up the DLC yesterday will have had more open weapon slots than there are guns available in the game. “Being introduced alongside Gage’s armaments in Payday 2 is a selective fire mode, allowing would-be heisters to switch between semi-automatic and full-on auto firing at the press of a button.”  The selective firing option too was available to gamers yesterday– not just the ones who pick up the DLC...

Just Cause Developers travel to Costa Rica for material

Just Cause developer Avalanche Studios went to the Costa Rica rainforest during spring 2013 to get reference material for future games, the studio details in a new video. “The rich and uniquely diverse environment offered us a closer look at dense vegetation, beautiful skies, and flowing water, among other things,” said the studio. All this footage they went over there to capture isn’t just for Just Cause 2, although a lot of it is used in the video. Avalanche however said that the reference material collected during the trip–including jungle sounds and various images–will be used in “many” of the studio’s upcoming open-world games. For example, some of the sky scenes captured in Costa Rica will be shown in the Mad Max game for Xbox One and P...

Battlefield 4 patch postponed and ‘China Rising’ DLC out

The patch for the PlayStation 4 version of Battlefield 4 was scheduled to arrive yesterday but has been delayed due to some more additional testing that needed to be done said DICE. “The PS4 game update that was originally meant to go live Dec. 3 is undergoing some additional testing and will be rescheduled for a later date,” DICE said on its forums. “We will get back with final details as soon as we have verification that the update is good to go.” The main aim of the patch, among some other issues, was the “one-shot kill bug,” where bullets were sometimes applying incorrect levels of damage to a character. The PC patch which was scheduled for yesterday remains on track, as do the updates for the Xbox One and PlayStation 3 versions of Battlefield 4. In ...

Need For Speed Official Trailer

This trailer has been out for a while, but we hadn’t really heard about it until recently. Either way, The NFS trailer is here and we wanted you to check it out. Fresh from prison, a street racer who was framed by a wealthy business associate joins a cross country race with revenge in mind. His ex-partner, learning of the plan, places a massive bounty on his head as the race begins.   Don’t know whether this movie has what it takes to be among the ranks of other car-racing movies, especially the most recent “Rush” by Ron Howard, but definitely looks like a good movie to watch with its heart-pounding action, and some fantastic driving scenes make for an enticing combination. Tell us what you think, whether it will be a hit or a flop?
