Forza 5 becomes the fastest selling racing game in Xbox History
Microsoft announced that Forza 5 is the fastest-selling racing game in Xbox history. Stats indicate that more than one third of Xbox One owners have bought the Turn 10-developed racing game, which came out on the same day as the console. Microsoft has shipped 3.9m Xbox One units globally, so a third of that is about 1.3m in sales. This news came out when Turn 10 revealed Road America, the first track add on update for the game. It is free and will be automatically added to the Career events. The Road America booster pack includes five cars. Out today, it is a free bonus to Forza 5 Car Pass owners and, Microsoft said, is in addition to the six monthly DLC packs that Car Pass owners will get through to May 2014. New Transformers game: Rise of the Dark Spark confirmed
So Activision and Hasbro have officially announced the game Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark. According to examiner, an Activision member announced and shared some details about the game at a Hasbro preview event for the New York Toy Fair. Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark will complement the universe created by High Moon Studios in the previous Cybertron games with the universe director Michael Bay created in the Transformers movies. According to the official blurb: “Rise of the Dark Spark jumps worlds and factions as it weaves the tale of the hunt for an ancient relic as powerful as the Matrix of Leadership – the Dark Spark. Master Chief reveals that Halo 5 comes out in 2015
Following up reports from earlier this year, Steve Downes, the voice of Master Cheif, has said that Halo 5 won’t launch until 2015. And for this year we can expect Halo 2 Anniversary Edition. GameZone had an interview with Downes in which he said the following: “I think you may be ahead of yourself on Halo 5. I wouldn’t expect anything until 2015. What you can look forward to this year is an anniversary edition of Halo 2.” Downes’ comments were closely related to the claims of a NeoGAF poster who managed to leak Microsoft’s Xbox One-related plans earlier this month. League of Legends Servers face serious lag
It appears that on Thursday, the League of Legends servers had been facing an immense amount of lag and downtime. It seems a reason for the problem was an all-to-familiar pest causing problems. The same group that was responsible for causing huge chaos at the end of 2013 seems to have come back as the group had taken responsibility for the constant server downtime over the last 12-24 hours. As proof of their claims to be responsible, the group has been restoring and re-attacking the servers at will. As of now, the North American and European servers continue to drop randomly. Call of Duty: Ghosts DLC feature Captain Price as playable character
Even though Ghosts and Modern Warfare are set in two separate Call of Duty universes, they’re both developed by Infinity Ward, so there is some common ground which opens the path for a crossover. And the crossover is the Captain Price: Legend Pack, which adds Captain Price, voiced over by actor Billy Murray, as a playable character in Ghosts multiplayer and squads matches. Not just that, but he also comes with his own Personalisation Pack. For $3.99 you get Price, a weapon camo, a player background, a player patch and reticule and not to mention the moustache too. PS4 nearly outsold Xbox One by 2:1 ratio in US last month
Sony are going on boasting about how well their sales did in the US last month. They outsold the Xbox One by nearly two-to-one. Sony add to this by saying that they managed such figures even though stock of the console was “severely constrained”. New figures from NPD also portray that Sony’s advantage also has a lot to do with the software sales too- new release Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition sold twice as many copies on PS4 than on Xbox One. This doesn’t mean that Xbox One sales have done bad. In fact, figures reveal that the company’s next-gen console is selling 2.29 times faster than the 360. New Mode Carrier Assault added to Battlefield 4’s Naval Strike DLC
Not sure how many of you’ll will have an idea as to what Battlefield 2142 is. It was the 2006 Battlefield spin-off set in the future. One of the modes on that game called Titan was quite a hit with players. And now, developer DICE is reimagining it for release as DLC for Battlefield 4. Naval Strike, the Battlefield 4 expansion will include a new mode called Carrier Assault, which in the words of DICE is described as a “re-imagining of the classic Battlefield 2142 Titan Mode”.
