Call of Duty: Ghosts – Gold Edition is now on Xbox, PlayStation, and Steam stores
Call of Duty: Ghosts – Gold Edition is now available on Steam, Xbox One, PS3 and PS4 digital store-fronts. It’ll come with selected bundled DLC’s and is currently dated for release on March 25. This Xbox One store entry has the game priced at $59.99, and it includes the base game, its first DLC pack Onslaught, which includes four new maps, two new weapons and there’s also a Wolf skin for your guard dog killstreak. The digital download weighs in at 40.77 GB..The core game is going on sale over on Xbox Live between March 28-30 at 33% off. We all are curious as Gamers to check out the internal workings but a lot of times lack the guts to do it. Well this is exactly what an avid gamer Brandon Allen has put together an incredible collection of photographs, in which he’s dissected a number of famous video game controllers, spilling their guts all over a wooden table so you can gawk at what’s inside. The film is described on the YouTube channel as “The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. Assassins Creed Unity to be set during the French Revolution
Yesterday we shared that the next Assassin’s Creed game is set in Paris (at least partially) during the French Revolution. That is no longer just a rumor; Ubisoft has confirmed that the next game in the AC series, titled Assassin’s Creed: Unity, will take us back to 18th century France later this year, on PC,PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The confirmation comes via the trailer below, which offers no sense of characters, gameplay revisions, or how the current day setting that frames the games factors in. The earlier leak also claimed that there will actually be two AC games this year, released for different console generations. Assassin’s Creed 2014 most likely to be set in Paris on Xbox One and PS4
Some leaked images from Kotaku suggest that this year’s Assassin’s Creed will be set in 18th century Paris. The Paris-set screenshots which were obtained from an anonymous source were of an ‘early-in-development’ version of the game. It features Notre Dame and the Seine river in the background. For now the game is dubbed Unity, though it is not clear if this is the actual title or just a codename. The word around is that this year’s Assassin’s Creed will take place during the French Revolution and feature a new protagonist named Arno. Call of Duty: Ghosts Onslaught DLC free for tryouts this weekend, only for Microsoft consoles though
Call of Duty: Ghosts is offering up its recently released Onslaught DLC for free this weekend. However this free sample will only allows players on Microsoft consoles to explore 4 extra maps without having to shell out any cash for it. They’d obviously hope you do end up buying the pack eventually of course. Activision will release a trial version of the DLC as a download on Friday which is the 21st of March and will be playable up until the following Monday. It contains all four of the new maps– Fog, Bay View, Containment, and Ignition–and the Maverick dual assault rifle/sniper rifle. God of War director leaves Sony after 11 years
The director of the well know game God of War III, Stig Asmussen has left Sony Santa Monica, and reasons as to why he did so remains to be known. “SCEA can confirm that Stig Asmussen is no longer with Santa Monica Studio,” a Sony representative told IGN. Asmussen more than just a familiar face at Sony Santa Monica as he joined the company in 2003 and worked on God of War, God of War II and God of War III. He however did not work on God of War: Ascension and was leading development on a new IP that Sony shut down last month. Virtual Reality mode added to latest Steam beta
Valve is slowly getting very comfortable with the idea of having a huge video screen being mounted to its face, as it was announced that the beta client of Steam is to add a “virtual reality mode” option. The latest beta version of Steam does away with the “-vr” command line option and replaces it with a button in the view menu, which only appears for those with SteamVR installed when a head-mounted display like the Oculus Rift is detected. Virtual reality is really gaining a lot of attention and is probably going to be the next big thing in gaming.
