Sony sells a million PS4’s on day one

Sony managed to sell one million Playstation 4s on day one of their sale in North America. As expected, some users reported hardware issues, Sony’s spring off the blocks bodes well for the release of the PS4 in Europe and Latin America, which will take place on the 29th of November. Sony has high hopes that the PS4 will generate enough revenue to make up for its poor fortunes. Things didn’t look too good for the Japanese firm when it went back to a loss in the last quarter as sales of PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable, and its profits dipped due to a price decrease on the Playstation Vita. Sony has been giving its rival Microsoft stiff competition as they have managed to price the PS4 $100 cheaper than the $499.99 Xbox One. Sony hope to see this upward traje...

This announcement, however is in specific reference to the PlayStation 3 version of the game, which will be on one disc. There is no news on when the separate PlayStation Vita versions of the game will be released. Rumors were out that the game would come out last this year, however that doesn’t seem to be the case. Nevertheless, its always good news to hear that a date has been scheduled for the release of a game, especially if it is one of this magnitude. Here is the HD Remaster video shown at E3- Source: IGN

The amazing Fifa 2014 trailer

With the next gen Xbox One releasing next week, Experience Next-Gen Lionel Messi in the FIFA 14 TV commercial. For the newest generation of video games, the game showcases a new engine, Ignite, which allows not only for graphical enhancements, like shifting weather conditions and dynamic stadium environment, but also for changes in gameplay, with features like Human Intelligence (which brings the AI closer to real player behavior) and True Player Motion (which gives the players more realistic animations). Also, all versions have an all-new Co-op Seasons online mode, in which two players can play a season for the same team. Watch Dogs Fan Film

Take a look at this incredibly awesome fan film made by a group called Infectious Designer. The video merely depicts an average day in the life of the Watch Dog’s protagonist. P.S- You will get even more pissed off with the fact that this game is delayed till March next year

3D Blu-Rays not supported by PS4 at launch

As strange as this sounds, the PS4 is most like to not support playback of 3D Blu-rays, according to the online user guide (spotted by TheSixthAxis). Even though DVDs and Blu-rays are fully supported and CD support is to be put into the system, the “Playing video on disc” section of the User Guide says that 3D Blu-rays are not supported. Weirdly enough, the PS3 plays 3D Blu-rays without any issues, which makes this even more strange. Sony has left 3D by the wayside in the past two years, having attempted to push it hard in the middle years of PS3’s lifespan. This would appear to be another nail in its coffin. However, the word around is that Sony has made it clear that  3D Blu-ray movies “will not be compatible at launch, providing the following statement to Eurogam...

Nothing being held back for Forza 5 says Turn 10

This time around Turn 10 is not holding back any content for Forza Motorsport 5 for DLC, says Turn 10 creative director Dan Greenawalt, in lieu of criticism they received from the recently announced Forza 5 Car Pass. “We’re not keeping anything back,” Greenawalt told OXM. “I think people misunderstand the way these things work.” “It takes us six months to build a car, so when I say there’s a 10-car pack launching day one – they’re not done. We’re not done with them yet.” “So we’re not holding anything back, we were crunching to make sure we had this level of quality on all 200 cars. Every one had to be Forza level of quality. This was as many as we could build – straight up. We’ve built this whole process.” “We started building these cars in waves, so the 200 ...

Bioshock Infinite: Burial at Sea episode to release tomorrow

For all of you who’ve played & enjoyed Bioshock Infinite here is some awesome news 🙂 the  first chunk of story DLC, set in that fragile underwater utopia/horrorshow, Rapture will be out tomorrow.  Episode One throws Booker and Elizibeth back to a time to a point before Rapture transitioned from endless parties to mutant massacre. Ken Levine mentioned on Twitter that there will be new weapons, plasmids and gear, including an “old man winter” plasmid. I’m more excited about wandering around a still-living Rapture, as captured in this splendid piece of concept art for Bioshock 1. Part one of the DLC will be Booker-centric, while you might get to  as Elizabeth in part two. Till then you can check out the awesome trailer.
