The reason why Destiny is not 60fps on the PS4 & Xbox One
Upcoming game, Destiny by Bungie is one of the few AAA games that will be scheduled to run at 1080p/30fps on both of the next gen consoles. The recent June Xbox One SDK updated helped Bungie to bump up the resolution of the Xbox One version to 1080p. But why did Bungie did not targeted 60fps? “It’s a lot of different things,” explains Jason Sussman who is the senior environment artist at Bungie. “I could get really technical, but I’d bore you to death. A lot has to do with performance. We’re cross-platform, so we had to be very delicate with all four consoles, making sure they have the same experience, that it looks as good as it possibly can on all these consoles. Battlefield Hardline beta opens for PC Gamers
All you PC Gamers who love playing Battlefield, Instant access to the beta for Visceral Games and DICE’s cops vs criminals shooter, Battlefield Hardline, is now open to all Windows PC users, Electronic Arts announced today. Kraken – Evolve’s New Monster
Evolve has been generating right noises from the initial announcements. One thing that which seemed amiss was the Goliath monster, which essentially seemed like a larger version of the Tank from Left 4 Dead. It’s a natural point of inspiration, given that Turtle Rock Studios teamed up with Valve to develop that game, and therefore a good starting point, but it just wasn’t distinct enough, and quite a tame design for a beast. Activision and Sledgehammer Games have put together this new trailer that shows us what exactly goes into not only making a game but how they go about portraying it through a story in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. According to creative director Bret Robbins, they are striving hard to achieve a certain level of realism in the story about future war. This process has been underway for about 3 years now and Sledgehammer has tried its best to make the most interesting and believable story possible. When you think of it, maybe it’s not the best of ideas if video games predicted the future. You’d have a scenario where everybody is at war with each other or you’d find yourself in a post apocalyptic landscape about to fend off zombies or maybe in a spaceship like craft about to take on a whole lot of aliens. Angry Birds Transformers–Yes, it’s true.
We’ve seen Angry Birds make the most of pop-culture in the past few years by linking up with franchises like Star Wars and of late Transformers. In what could be its most interesting mash-up till date, Rovio is joining forces with Hasbro to develop a new ‘Angry Birds Transformers‘ spin-off. This partnership will result in different mediums, a new line of Telepods toys and needless to say a new video game. Not much has been revealed about this partnership, I mean there are a few pictures floating around on the net and I believe a teaser site is already available. H1Z1 presents Free-to-Play Zombie Survival to PS4 and PC
Remember the panic over H1N1? Well, imagine how much worse it would have been if it involved zombies! The recent trailer didn’t just make zombie-killer fans happy, but should’ve made pro wrestling fans happy as well with the use of one of AJ Styles’s final TNA Wrestling themes in “Evil Ways”.
