COD: Advanced Warfare Sales in US Less Than Ghosts

Activision has a lot to brag about with Destiny the top-selling new IP of the year, Skylanders the top-selling kids game, and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare the top-selling game. But there is a factor that seems to be worrying the COD franchise. It seems that Call of Duty is hitting a downward trend, even though the latest game received a pretty warm reception. According to analyst Michael Olson Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare has seen US retail sales decline 27% from Ghosts in 2013. Ghosts itself declined 19% from 2012′s Black Ops 2, which itself dropped 17% from 2011′s Modern Warfare 3.   “This is disappointing data following first week Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare sales showing a year-over-year increase,” Olson said. “NPD data does not include digital copies or international sales...

Watch The Witcher 3 Trailer Paint Version

CD Projekt Red had delayed their game, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt by about three months from February 2015 to May 2015. It took YouTuber Nick McDonalds nearly two months to recreate the game’s 2013 trailer using MS Paint. How freaking awesome is that? And also how much time did this guy have? The Witcher 3 is promising to be a great game. There are actually so many out there right now. Nick’s take on this game is pretty fresh, unique and made me crack up.   This little masterpiece is made up of 30 different compositions, each taking Nick around 55 minutes to complete (20 minutes drawing, 35 minutes compositing). He took the help of After Effects for the compositing and character animation. You need to watch the two trailers side by side to know how much work went into Nick’s trail...

7 Most Awaited Games That Will Launch In 2015

It’s been an interesting year for video games. While it’s true that 2014 has seen its fair share of duds, there have also been a number of unexpected hits. At the start of the year, it seemed unlikely that Shadow of Mordor would turn out to be much more than a run-of-the-mill Assassin’s Creed clone, not only has it been a hit with Gamers but critics as well. Most recently, Dragon Age: Inquisition has been a big hit with critics. All in all, 2015 is going to be the year the industry really kick starts itself into action, thanks to the planned releases of many of the current-gen consoles’ big exclusives. High profile sequels and long-awaited reboots are all on the cards next year, along with a number of promising indie titles. 1) Dying Light Release date: January 30, 2015 It might be one of ...

Mad Max Fury Road Trailer

From director George Miller, originator of the post-apocalyptic genre and mastermind behind the legendary “Mad Max” franchise, comes “Mad Max: Fury Road,” a return to the world of the Road Warrior, Max Rockatansky.   Haunted by his turbulent past, Mad Max believes the best way to survive is to wander alone. Nevertheless, he becomes swept up with a group fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by an elite Imperator, Furiosa. They are escaping a Citadel tyrannized by the Immortan Joe, from whom something irreplaceable has been taken. Enraged, the Warlord marshals all his gangs and pursues the rebels ruthlessly in the high-octane Road War that follows. We’re just happy Tom Hardy is taking up the role, period.
