ReCore Gets A New Trailer At Gamescom, Gameplay Doesn’t Look That Solid

When ReCore was first announced at the E3 conference this year, the game looked like delightfully surprising, a fresh take on action-adventure video games by the great minds who gave us classics like Metroid Prime and Mega Man. Now, combining those two can’t possible seem to be a bad idea, can it? However, the gameplay trailer may tell a different story altogether. While we’re definitely not saying that the game will be disappointing, it  certainly does seem a little different than what we had expected it to be. Looking more of a take on Capcom’s Lost Planet than Metroid Prime and Mega Man, it seems to be a little too stiff when it comes to the gameplay, whether it’s the navigation, jumping or the general motion. We certainly hope it’s just the trailer and not...

Gears of Wars 4 Gets a 4K Gameplay Trailer at Gamescom

We have seen quite a few trailers at Gamescom this year, but sadly none of them were in 4K. But all hope was not lost – for Gears of War released a new gameplay trailer, in glorious 4K resolution. Focusing on the mission titled “Rescue”, it features JD, Kait and Del chasing down an enemy who’s not known yet, through a battered, old fort. On their chase, they come across two fierce Swarm foes – Pouncers and Drones – for the first time. In addition to making us feel pathetically sorry for not owning a 4K monitor, the trailer goes to show the immense improvement in graphics since the days of the multiplayer beta. Gears of War 4 is scheduled to release worldwide on 11th October for the Xbox One and Windows 10. It also has the Xbox Play Anywhere feature, mean...

Gamescom 2016: Mass Effect To Get A Remaster In Future?

Until now, EA had been a naysayer when it came to remastering games, sometimes even speaking against the whole practice. In 2015, Peter Moore had described the company as one “that just likes to push forward,” adding that remastering games “feels like pushing stuff out because you’ve run out of ideas. Well, that may just change in the future, and for the better as it may start with a remaster of Mass Effect titles. EA Studios’ Patrick Soderlund spoke about this in detail to GameInformer at Gamescom. When asked if anything had changed regarding their mindset about remasters, like the Mass Effect trilogy for instance, he said, “What’s changed is that there is proof in the market that people want it, maybe more than there was when we spoke (back in 20...

The last expansion for Bethesda’s Fallout 4, Nuka-World is coming out on August 30th for the Xbox One, Playstation 4 and the PC. As Bethesda had announced earlier, this will be the last DLC for the game. According to Neogaf, word on the block is that there may be a new Splinter Cell game in the making, with Michael Ironside returning to his role as Sam Fisher. Crossing Edan, a Neogaf user who has a pretty solid reputation for leaking reliable information when it comes to Ubisoft, said that his source confirmed that there a Splinter Cell game is indeed a possibility. And this is the same source who earlier leaked info about Watch Dogs 2 and Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, which proved out to be completey accurate. Did You Know About These Indian Characters In Video Games?

India has taken a fair bit of time, but has started making it’s mark in the entertainment industry across the world perhaps now more than ever before. Portrayal of India/Indians around the world over time has definitely increased. Initial glimpses were seen in shows like Mind Your Language with characters like Ranjeet Singh and Jameela Ranjhat who played Indians trying to learn English in the UK. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, though causing a certain level of controversy, did cast actors like Amrish Puri in the movie. Roger Moore’s second last Bond film, Octopussy, cast iconic Indians like Kabir Bedi and Vijay Amritraj. Then in 2002 Bend it like Beckham gathered a huge response setting the record in India for the most number of tickets sold during a single weekend for a...

You’ll Be Surprised To See How Many of These Games Were Made By Indian Developers

Did you know that a lot of the animation for movies like Life of Pi, Avatar, Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe were all done in India? I read somewhere that each hair on Aslan’s mane was individually controlled to give the best visual appeal. Next time while waiting for the extra scene in an X-men or Deadpool movie, just pay a little more attention to the names mentioned in the credits. You’ll end up reading more Indian names than you thought existed! Even though we posses the skills, India is still to come up with a hit game. But independent developers take on smaller ventures such as mobile games and apps and I have to say are pretty damn good at it. And since we’re in the patriotic mood, here is a list of the best mobile games that are made right h...
