Nvidia unveils the GeForce GTX Titan Z
Well NVIDIA is always willing to outperform itself and here is one more example 🙂 Nvidia is readying a version that will be priced higher than almost all PCs. Dubbed the Titan Z, it will combine a pair of GK110 “Kepler” chips that offer a total of 5,760 processing cores, along with 12GB of video memory. It will also combine all that with a mega-price tag — $3,000. You can get an incredibly high-end PC for the same amount. We all are curious as Gamers to check out the internal workings but a lot of times lack the guts to do it. Well this is exactly what an avid gamer Brandon Allen has put together an incredible collection of photographs, in which he’s dissected a number of famous video game controllers, spilling their guts all over a wooden table so you can gawk at what’s inside. Virtual Reality mode added to latest Steam beta
Valve is slowly getting very comfortable with the idea of having a huge video screen being mounted to its face, as it was announced that the beta client of Steam is to add a “virtual reality mode” option. The latest beta version of Steam does away with the “-vr” command line option and replaces it with a button in the view menu, which only appears for those with SteamVR installed when a head-mounted display like the Oculus Rift is detected. Virtual reality is really gaining a lot of attention and is probably going to be the next big thing in gaming. Auto Expo 2014
A little out of our thing, but we made a trip to the 12th edition of the Auto Expo in Greater Noida this year. It started on the 7th and ended on the 12th of February. This edition witnessed the unveiling of 70 vehicles out of which 26 were global models. An astonishing 5.61 lakh people attended this event and about 90,000 people showed up on the last day. Luckily we went there on the first day itself and enjoyed a “relatively empty” Expo. There were a whole bunch of Bollywood superstars that attended this years Expo–Priyanka Chopra, brought in by Jaguar, Kareena Kapoor at DC Design, John Abraham at Yamaha, Akshay Kumar at HMSI and Ranbir Kapoor at Hero MotoCorp.
