Bingo Mobile is a rather new Indian manufacturer that delivers quality handsets on a given budget. They recently launched the first phone of their series the Future Star .
The Bingo Future Star comes with 1.3 GHz Broadcom Quadcore processor with massive 5 inch HD IPS screen running Android Jellybean OS. This is low budget quad core handset with 1 GB RAM and 4GB internal storage. Is this the one that brings it home for Bingo? Let’s find out…
So lets switch it on 🙂
Display & Camera
The 5″ screen isn’t the sharpest you will find but at the same time you can’t really see the jagged edges either. It is afterall a basic IPS display. The contrast also is a bit shallow. But overall it is quite a good one for the price-point.
The rear camera is a 13 MP with auto focus does well in good light, and in even slightly low lighting. The front camera is for your selfies and is a massive 5 MP which can be used for video chat and video calls but the feed tends to be a bit hazy.
Graphics Performance and Benchmarking
The phone sports an in built memory of about 4 GB out of which around 1.77 GB is available for you to use. You also have the option for the MicroSD card slot to expand the storage of the device. You should be able move apps on the SD card and can also specify it as default write disk. The battery backup is around 1 day for moderate usage scenario.
For its price tag, I think it does a fairly good job as it is quite responsive. Leaving aside a few instances where it slows down a bit, the Bingo Future Star is an overall smooth experience. The handset runs on the Android Jellybean OS.
The performance is closer to the S3 and more than the Xiaomi Redmi 🙂 Good Start for the phone.
Gaming on the Bingo Future Star 🙂
This phone is capable enough to play the casual games, but bigger and heavier games might lag a bit. We played a couple of games and the performance was good, games like GTA San Andreas or Asphalt might lag a bit too.
So we played Angry Birds to start with…. 🙂
& Subway Surfer to follow up 😉
Verdict
Overall a decent phone for Bingo to start with. The 5-inch IPS display is average and the 13 MP camera is decent. So while Bingo has launched a feature packed phone with decent gaming performance but it has its rough edges too.
