Arkham Origins may be a fail

Batman Origins

Here are four reasons that we believe could lead to Arkham Origins potentially being a fail. Not at all saying that we wish for the game to do badly or anything, rather just circling around the various possibilities that we consider may act as hindering factors in its success.

The game is set to release on the 25th of October, so let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope that the game is a huge success. Let’s move on…

1.Release Date

Arkham Origins will face some serious competition, and not only in the form of games like Grand Theft Auto V (which is one of the most eagerly anticipated games of all time), but also with the two new consoles, the Playstation 4 and Xbox One, which are all expected to release around the same time period. As Arkham Origins is exclusive to the PS3 and Xbox 360, gamers who chose to get into the new generation of gaming would ignore this game completely.

2.Change of voice cast

Kevin Conroy (Batman) and Mark Hamill (The Joker) were replaced for the newest installment of Batman. Troy Baker and Roger Craig will be replacing the voices of The Joker and Batman respectively. Will the new voices be as captivating as the previous ones? Only time will tell….

3.Content

Arkham Origins, in order of story line, comes before Arkham City. So all the controversies that Arkham City left was with remain unresolved, well at least in this installment of Batman. How does Batman cope with his archenemy not in the picture anymore? What happens to Gotham now that the Arkham City project is finished? These questions that we have seem like they may very well go unanswered and will remain a mystery. Unless, Arkham Origins, in some way, twists the plot around and introduces a completely different angle and shock us(hopefully in a good way).

4.Change of developers and writers

Disregarding the previous factors, one can assume that Arkham Origins may thrive on quality alone, after looking at the work Rocksteady has done with the previous two installments. However, Time Warner have given this job to WB Games Montreal, A Canadian subsidiary whose work was only the port of Arkham City for the Wii U.

Anyone who takes a shot at another Batman flick is bound to compared to Nolan’s trilogy, which was a huge step upward for this franchise. The same will be done for this game as well. The new developers have a a lot to live up to and will have to work hard to make sure this game has no flaws, at least compared to the previous games.

But no matter how much we talk about it potentially being a fail, this trailer still continues to blow our minds away…
