Mountain Dew enters the world of gaming with Game Fuel, a bold new variant of Mountain Dew- when we first heard that, we couldn’t wait to try it out. And we’re delighted to say that Mountain Dew is successfully on its way to becoming every gamer’s favourite drink.

The launch event for the drink was a blast, and offered a lot of showcases to satisfy the likes of all kinds of gamers. Experience booths included Forza Motorsport, FIFA, Gears of War and Halo, and many more. There was also a tournament for FIFA and Gears of War, which was a pleasant change in taste as these events are mainly dominated by games like Counter Strike and DOTA.

Powered by Game Fuel, Mountain Dew is also launching its first ever gaming tournament, the Dew Arena. Battle your friends and foes in multiple games across multiple platforms and win the chance to be the face of Game Fuel. There will also be an on-ground “gaming truck” that gives you a chance to take part and play various games. That’s right, it’s a truck with numerous gaming systems installed on the back, as it’s every bit as badass as it sounds.

For all those gamers aspiring towards the whooping prize pool of INR 10 Lakhs, here are a few tips and tricks on how to better yourself at live gaming championships and REALLY get your #HeroModeOn:

  1. Keep your head in the game: Stay calm, stay composed. A Hero never lets his enemies get into his head.
  2. Refuel: Take short breaks in between games. Get up, stretch your legs, and grab that bottle of Game Fuel to reenergize yourself
  3. Communicate: Fights are won with good coordination and teamwork! It’s important to be a team player and communicate
  4. Get your #HeroModeOn: When the going gets tough, don’t keep waiting for someone to tell you what to do. Get your #HeroModeOn, and don’t hesitate to lead your team to victory
  5. Practice: Even when you lose in practice sessions, it’s learning. Never underestimate your opponents. Always go in prepared.
