So gamers, we yet again have another Call of Duty sequel to talk about 🙂 It is fair to say that the game has generated a lot of hype and excitement. With the publishers releasing the trailer before the scheduled release we did get to see a lot of stuff, mainly the Kevin Spacey as the villain in the trailer which lasts close to 3 minutes.
Call of Duty Advanced Warfare releases on 4th November 2014, the game is slated to release on PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. You can also check out some recent Call of Duty Advanced Warfare screens here.
We’ve made a few notes, do check them out and let us know what you feel about the game in the comments below.
5. The game is Next Gen First
“The following was captured on Xbox One.” This plays over black at the trailer’s start and signifies nothing more than full disclosure. Sledgehammer Games will primarily focus on new systems such as PlayStation 4, Xbox One and modern PC architecture. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare ushers in the three-year development cycle for each Call of Duty title, where Sledgehammer, Infinity Ward and Treyarch will take turns developing annual games for the franchise.
So do expect the game to crank up the graphics and explore the depths of Xbox One and Playstation 4.
4. Kevin Spacey is the villain here 🙂
You’ve probably heard the adage “So-and-so could read the phone book and I’d listen” employed to celebrate exalted elocutionists. The facial rendering tech could have been a lot better or least it looks that way in the trailer.
3. The featured mission seems to set in Nigeria
Keep Lagos Clean. That’s what the scrolling sign on the side of the overpass reads. Lagos is a port city in Nigeria. Also, check the flag protruding from right: the Nigerian national flag is green-white-green.
2. You can Roll your own Cover.
Now that looks really cool, unfolding something like a floor mat vertically, then hunching behind it, only the screen’s effectively bulletproof.
1. There is a bit of Iron man, Crysis and Titanfall 😉
So we did find some stuff which resembled each of the titles mentioned above like that huge jump using jet boots and the ability to cloak & vanish like Prophet (Crysis). The trailer showcases that the game will give Predator-style powers to vanish at will (at 0:24) with vehicles, too.
Taking a page from Marvel’s Iron Man films, these suits clap on with automatic servos, apparently, then turn your arms into gatling guns.
